stephen dorff is a great actor. i bet even in his worst movies he is still interesting to watch.
for some reason i think the same of jason ritter and tom arnold. except when tom arnold is on the show roseanne. on my worst days i am not interesting to watch.

sxsw was really great this year. for all kinds of reasons. it was just a rollercoaster of music and people and crazy chats. aaron has become the adam tour guide of austin. never misses a beat and always knows how to show his guests the best of his surroundings. the two of them know their cities and are proud of it. i wish i was more knowledgeable about my surroundings. im finding lately i dont have a very good memory for certain types of details, though i have found other parts of my memory proving to be more and more reliably accessible.

i got sick after i came back from sxsw. was it the partying? was it the cold saturday? was it the ubiquitous infirmity in my office before i left? was it the all nighter we pulled on saturday because we were positive oversleeping would not help me get to the airport?

yes. was it worth it?

im working on lots of projects lately. at work, at home, with others. im also growing a fourth leg, developing a strong affinity toward kryptonite, and laughing far more at the unfortunate and humble.

i tried to make my desktop into a hackintosh. it didnt work. i bet it would have if i would have put my old beos hat back on. guess i dont have the same curiosity any more. scott is either proud or sad. either way he will still say this was temporary, and ill be back on the reinstall horse sooner rather than later.

i like that apple is releasing a software update for my phone. i dont like that they slammed my jailbreak door shut with their latest firmware. so thanks and eat me at the same time.

i finished mass effect 2. it was great! greg loaned me dragon age so it will probably get rotation next if i dont pick up god of war tomorrow. i might get god of war tomorrow though. bleh, on a less violent gamer note i bought chime a few days ago. a beautiful xbla game that is like brian eno mashed up with tetris. do yourself a favor and play it.

im on the way to bed. i want to go to a drillers game in the new stadium. i also want to have a picnic in a baseball stadium some time. its easy to do the first one. baseball is boring to me but so was the xtc album wasp star but i like that album now. i will try baseball but only in attendance because that is about spirit and lawn chairs and overpriced boss american beers.

if you invite me over to *watch* baseball though i will invoke judgement call and immediately assume you want me to fall asleep so you can rob me or that you are exercising your right to prove you are boring and cut from boring cloth.

I feel the same way about hockey that you feel about baseball. Actually, come to think of it, I feel that way about all sports except tennis. I like tennis.

Remember that park project we were talking about last year? I still think it has potential.
